Heather Murphy
Board Member
Heather Murphy is a Nurse Practitioner who lives in North Kingstown, RI. She has been taking care of Women's Cancer patients for 27 years.
She graduated from Northeastern University in 1996 and took her first job as a nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital on the GYN/GYN Oncology Unit. She moved to RI in 1999 where she took a job as Assistant Nurse Manager at Women and Infants Hospital. She was in this role for 17 years caring for patients on the Medical Surgical Floor. She then transitioned to the role of Nurse Manager for the Women and Infants Infusion Center. It was during this time that Heather returned to school in a Nurse Practitioner Program at Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
In September 2017 she took her first NP job at Women and Infants Breast Health Center. She remained there, caring for Breast Cancer patients until November 2023 when she took a full time position at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, again caring for patients with Breast Cancer.
Heather has been married to her husband Eric for 25 years. THey have 2 son, Shawn and Ryan who are both enrolled in RI colleges.
